Hi Pet Star Entrants,
A great big woof and meow of thanks to everyone who made our first ever Pet Star 2027 Photo Contest such a wonderful success!
From August 15 through September 30, our community came together to celebrate the animals we love and support Greater Palm Springs Animal Allies and our three programs:
-
Palm Springs Animal Shelter
-
Desert Wildlife Center
-
Desert Community Animal Center
Every entry, vote, calendar order, reserved date, and shared post helped raise awareness and funds for the lifesaving animal welfare services we provide throughout the Coachella Valley and beyond.
We loved meeting your dogs, cats, small pets, a lizard, and even a horse! Your photos and stories brought smiles to our faces, and the friendly competition made these six weeks especially fun.
You helped us surpass our $45,000 fundraising goal!
Here are the final results:
$46,460 in online donations
786 participants
121 entries
65 Reserve A Date purchases
65,572 votes
107 calendars sold
These results belong to all of you. Thank you for giving our first Pet Star contest such a memorable start!

If you preordered a calendar, it will be mailed sometime in November to the address you provided with your order.
Missed the preorder? Pet Star 2027 calendars will also be available for purchase in December at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter retail store. They make wonderful holiday gifts for the animal lovers in your life!
Thank you for your patience as we bring it all together. We cannot wait for you to see the finished calendar!
We are already looking forward to next year’s Pet Star Photo Contest. Thank you for celebrating your pets with us and helping more animals receive the care they need.
